Enhancing the onboarding experience

Each student's learning journey is unique. Our goal was to empower students to succeed by providing them with a clear understanding of our method, platform and how to adopt healthy learning habits.

Students dropped off during onboarding because it felt overwhelming, unclear, and uninspiring. Screens were too complex, instructions didn’t explain how the course works, and the lack of guidance or sense of progress left students unsure of their next steps. Staff member used to spend a lot of time explaining to students how does the platform work.

Chanding the look and feel 🪄

The first moments with a product set the tone for the entire journey. Our original onboarding, however, felt more like a hurdle than a welcome—time-consuming, filled with redundant information, and weighed down by an outdated look & feel. The challenge: transform it into a simple, warm and motivating experience that still delivers personalisation.

Guided, not gated

We broke down the onboarding into bite-sized steps, each focused on one clear action. Soft animations, calming colors, and friendly language reduced anxiety and increased flow completion.

To create a more personalised experience, we introduced a Welcome Session, allowing students to book support from a coach. These improvements strengthened the connection between students and the platform from day one.

A better beginning

We designed a streamlined onboarding flow, simplifying steps, optimising video content, and adding a stepper component for clearer guidance. These changes helped reduce cognitive load and made starting the course easier.
